I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! We had s very fun week learning about the Pilgrims, Native Americans, and the first Thanksgiving before the break. We shared things we noticed of how some things are very different now than they were 400 years ago, but also noticed some similarities. Be sure to talk with your students about the games and chores of children long ago. We will continue to discuss long ago and today next week.
Please make sure to send in a warm jacket, gloves, and hat/earmuffs for you child each day! We will be going outside for at least a little bit as long as the wind chill is above 35.
I am ordering Scholastic book orders this week. These books make great gifts. When you order using my classroom code, it helps earn points for our room to purchase more books and games.
- Keep practicing your address at home. Student should know the house number, street, city, and state. The county and zip code are not part of our standards, but it is fine if you want to add that in as well. We will continue to practice at school as well. Once they are able to tell me their address, they will bring home their little house!
- Continue to practice sight words every night for 5-10 minutes. We can really see improvement in all of their reading!
